Trauma-Informed Schools Series
Intended for educators and school staff, this 5-session training series provides a foundational overview of trauma, as well as principles of Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) and Healing Centered Engagement (HCE). Sessions are tailored to building staff capacity for creative trauma-sensitive classrooms with focuses on systemic strategies for improving school climate and supporting youth, family, and staff well-being. Participants will increase their awareness of the impact of trauma on students, have the opportunity to reflect on current practices, and build a toolbox of tangible strategies and interventions to improve student and school mental health.

Youth Mental Health in Schools Series
Intended for educators and school staff, this training series provides a basic overview of the current landscape of child and youth mental health in the United States. Covering topics related to mental health conditions and school policy and programming, the sessions offered in this series aim to support improved outcomes for youth well-being and academic success.
Sessions in this series are standalone, and can be facilitated independently of one another. Several trainings in this series also meet NJ Department of Education training requirements for suicide prevention and mandated reporting.

Special Education for Mental Health Providers
Intended for mental health providers, clinicians, and therapists, this 3-hour training provides a comprehensive overview of special education law, identification and evaluation processes, and provision of in-school services. Many clinicians that work with youth often encounter the intersection between a client’s mental health treatment and their school services; this training aims to give providers an understanding of the school setting and systems in order to create better partnership and improved outcomes for clients.
